Ebay to integrate Google Pay

Ebay is set to allow shoppers to pay for their items using Google’s digital payment service starting next month.

The ecommerce marketplace is due to add Google Pay to its payment options on Ebay’s android mobile app, Ebay’s mobile webpage or on both Apple and Windows computers, from the start of April.

This will allow customers signed up to Google Pay to purchase items without leaving Ebay’s platform.

“Offering Google Pay as a form of payment is another significant step toward providing our customers with more choice in their payment options, and creating an experience that is tailored to personal preferences.”

Ebay has already integrated Apple Pay into its platform, and this move is thought to represent a wider plan to manage the majority of customer payments on its platform by 2021.
