Amazon to deliver goods to lockers inside Coachella Festival

Amazon will for the first time install an Amazon Locker at the Coachella music festival, allowing festival goers to order items directly to the festival.

Festival goers at this years’ Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, which hosts 250,000 people over two separate weekends, will now be able to place and pick up orders inside the festival gates.

Attendees at Coachella’s first weekend, taking place on April 12-14, will be able to order items to the festival from 6 am on April 11, until noon on April 14.

Customer will be able to order items in the same time frame over the second weekend, which takes place on April 19-21.

Alongside the lockers, Amazon has launched a dedicated shopfront selling a curated list of festival essentials, including everything from sunscreen, to cameras and makeup.

“Our Amazon festival storefront is a one-stop shop for Coachella attendees. From functional items like sunscreen and hand sanitizer, to trendy accessories like instant-print cameras and aviator sunglasses, we’ve got festival-goers covered,” Amazon’s director of lockers and pickup Patrick Supanc said.

“Combined with the first-ever Amazon Lockers located inside the festival grounds, we are helping attendees spend less time worrying about packing and more time enjoying the experience of a lifetime that is Coachella.”

Amazon is also giving away two VIP passes to the second weekend of the festival.
