Audio retailer Bose is set to launch an audio augmented reality feature for festival goers at this year’s Coachella.
In partnership with Goldenvoice, who created Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, Bose is bringing the world’s first audio augmented reality experience to the official festival app.
Any festival goers wearing Bose Frames, the brands range of sunglasses with built in head phones, will unlock special audio content while using the Coachella app.
These include real-time audio notifications and updates about the festival, such as prompting them to when their favourite artists are playing.
Bose Frames retail for around $200 (£150) and will be available for purchase at merchandise tents at the festival.
“We’re proud to see this exclusive content made available through Bose AR at Coachella,” Bose AR’s head of marketing Crystal MacKenzie said.
“Fans who pair their Bose Frames with the app while attending the show will be able to spend more time looking up and seeing what’s going on around them, while accessing information that will help make their experience even better.”
