French grocery giant Casino has announced plans to extend its partnership with Amazon and will now install Amazon Lockers in store.
Casino first announced its partnership with the ecommerce giant in March last year, which saw groceries from Casino’s premium food brand Monoprix were made available on Amazon Prime Now.
Today it announced an expansion of the partnership, revealing that it will install Amazon Lockers, which allow customers to collect items they have purchased online from their local stores, in 1000 locations.
Casino products will also now be available on Amazon’s main website and app, and its Monoprix collection currently available on Amazon Prime now will be extended outside of Paris.
“With this new partnership, we will be able to offer the greatest number of customers the best products and services whenever and wherever they wish,” Casino chief executive Jean-Charles Naouri said.
“This announcement represents a new step in strengthening Casino’s omnichannel strategy to always be a little more in the heart of consumers’ lives.”
