Louis Vuitton unveils world’s first OLED handbags

Louis Vuitton is set to release a range of handbags with flexible OLED screen sewn in, displaying a range of colourful videos.

During its Cruise 2020 fashion show in New York last week the luxury fashion giant unveiled its latest women’s collection from creative director Nicholas Ghesquière.

Among the collection were two bags which are adorned with the brand’s iconic branded monogram pattern, alongside bright flexible OLED screen panels which display moving city scenes.

“New prototypes of iconic Louis Vuitton bags stood out with their flex screen digital canvas, accessories that point to the possibilities of connected bags,” the brand said on its website.

No further details about the bags have been revealed about the bags, including the manufacturer of the screens, how much room the circuitry takes up in the handbag, and whether the screens are subject to the same issues as we have seen in the emerging folding phone market.
