Transport for London (TfL) has launched a competition to find the most “innovative and technical” retail concept to cater to its time pressed shoppers.
London’s transport network, which has more than 2000 commercial units across London servicing over 31 million passenger journeys every day, is offering up £100,000 to the winner.
The winner will get the chance to test their new retail concept and be able to launch a pilot in a TfL retail space for a whole year.
TfL will evaluate every entrant against a range of criteria, before inviting shortlisted companies to present their concepts in front of a judging panel who will pick the winner.
“Our exciting competition challenges businesses to come up with an innovative and technological concept that reimagines physical retail space, meets the needs of our customers, and pushes the boundaries of retail”, TfL said.
“We know customers are time-pressed, and with limited space, getting the right offer in place can be a real challenge!”
Applications are now open ahead of the deadline on June 21.
