Uber is launching a new shopping app available exclusively to passengers riding in its taxis amid a tie-up with Cargo.
Passengers travelling in an Uber with a Cargo console onboard will be able to scan a QR code using its app, and then shop a range of items curated specially by the taxi behemoth.
Not only will shoppers be able to purchase items like luggage, Glossier cosmetics, the Nintendo Switch and Apple hardware, but in-ride entertainment including movies from Universal Studios will also be available to purchase through the app.

Items will be automatically shipped to the passenger’s address and delivered in under five working days.
In a further effort to entice passengers to spend while they ride, Uber will offer 10 per cent of customers purchases back in Uber Cash, which they can either spend on more products or on their next Uber ride.
To encourage Uber drivers to install Cargo boxes in their cars, Uber is offering its drivers 25 per cent of the value of all purchases made while passengers are in their car.
Uber signed an exclusive global partnership deal with Cargo last year.
