Boohoo is set to launch a brand new podcast Get the Scoop as it seeks to capitalise on its sister brand PrettyLittleThing’s (PLT) podcast success.
Maura Higgins, Boohoo’s ambassador and Love Island star, will host the podcast which will cover everything from celebrity gossip, to upcoming influencers, relationships, food, dating and fashion.
The first episode will launch on September 19 on iTunes and Spotify, and will see Higgins discuss her life after Love Island and becoming a Boohoo ambassador.
PLT, part of the wider Boohoo group which also includes Nasty Gal and recently Karen Millen, launched a similar branded podcast Behind Closed Doors at the start of the year.
Its branded podcast regularly tops charts and has proven to be a successful marketing tool for PLT, a feat Boohoo will be hoping to replicate.
“PLT: Behind Closed Doors recently hit half a million listens, which is an incredible achievement for a branded podcast,” PLT’s head of marketing Nicki Capstick said.
“Most listeners need to hear a message 25 to 30 times before taking action. PLT: Behind Closed Doors has not only allowed us to build brand awareness and build relationships with our audience, but also to discuss important topics and issues that allow them to really understand the brand and what it stands for. This has worked incredibly well for us and has been the key to how we can connect with our customers.”
