Microsoft has launched Dynamics 365 Commerce to help retailers manage their online business in its latest direct challenge to Amazon.
This week Microsoft launched its new software which allows sellers to create detailed personalised ecommerce web pages, which also include room for product reviews and customer ratings.
Dynamics 365 Commerce integrates with other software from the tech giant, including its Amazon Web Services rival Microsoft Azure, and builds on Microsoft Dynamics 365 for retail which focuses on supply chain management, staffing and promotions.
Big name retailers including Walmart, Kroger, Walgreens and recently Marks & Spencer have opted to use Microsoft’s platform for their cloud serves, as they’re all reluctant to pay money to one of their biggest rivals Amazon.
AWS does however count a number of large retailers as its customers, including Sainsbury’s, Levi’s and J.Crew.
