Whole Foods Market is set to install a new fully automated robotic barista, allowing users to completely customise and receive their coffee within minutes.

Briggo will install its robotic barista in Whole Food’s store in Houston, Midtown on November 7, offering users an extensive range of customisable hot beverages and even iced coffees.

By using Briggo’s mobile app, or via a number of touchscreen kiosks in the store, customers can choose anything from an expresso, to a vanilla latte or a cup of tea, while selecting from a range of diary and non-dairy milks as well as a range of syrups.

The robotic barista will prepare the drink to users specifications within minutes, meaning no queues or embarrassing name misspellings.

“We are always looking to deliver fresh convenient experiences for our shoppers,” Whole Food’s regional vice president Jessica Johnson-Keller said.

“Briggo aligns with our Friends of Whole Foods Market mission and quality standards and we’re thrilled to have such an innovative local partner.”
