Footwear brand Schuh has teamed up with Swedish FinTech company Klarna to extend its buy now, pay later scheme to in-store purchases.
Schuh already uses Klarna on its websites in the UK and Germany, and will now offer Klarna’s Pay in 3 scheme in over 110 UK stores in the run up to Christmas.

From earlier next year Schuh will also be the first UK retailer to integrate Klarna’s Instant Buy button.
This can be embedded directly on to product pages or through social media platforms including Pinterest and Instagram.
Schuh will test the technology on its UK site basket page, before rolling it out to social platforms later on in 2020.
“Since 2017, we’ve seen a 40% increase in mobile conversions and a 25% increase on desktop, through Klarna. Those impressive growth figures can’t be ignored, and we knew we wanted to introduce Klarna more widely into our business to replicate that success across Europe,” says Schuh director of ecommerce and customer experience Sean McKee.
“Partnering with Klarna has been part of our wider strategy to deliver a superior omnichannel experience, and the fact we’re already seeing great results shows that this was the right decision for our business,” McKee added.
