Booths is partnering with Deliveroo to offer home delivery on hundreds of its items in as little as 30 minutes for the first time.
Deliveroo has added Booths to its growing roster of supermarket partners, and will now offer over 300 of its products for delivery via its app.
This is the first time many will be able to access online delivery from the grocer, which has until now only offered home delivery for Amazon Fresh subscribers.
From today the service is available from Booths’ store in Media City, Salford, but the Northern-centric grocer says it plans to add five additional stores in Fulwood, Penwortham, St Anne’s, Hale Barns and Lytham next month.
This would give access to 400,000 households in Greater Manchester and Lancashire.
Next week, Booths will also be offering its hot lunchtime and evening ranges through Deliveroo, including its iconic sandwiches as well as pies, pizzas, pastries and burgers.
“Booths are very excited about our link up with Deliveroo, which will bring a wider delivery reach for over 300 products for customers,” Booths head of business to business Abby Talbot said.
“This service will offer quick and convenient delivery with Deliveroo and will help our customers unable to shop at Booths to access our great range of groceries.”
It comes as Deliveroo continues to ramp up its supermarket partnerships amid the COVID-19 crisis as retailer struggle to match the demand for online grocery.
Alongside Booths, it has enabled Marks & Spencer and Aldi to offer online delivery for the first time, with both retailers expanding their initial partnerships due to popularity.
In light of the pandemic, Booths launched a temporary emergency home delivery service for its most vulnerable members living close to stores.
