Westfield has signed a five-year partnership with ChargedUp allowing shoppers to securely charge their phones while they shop.

Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City have now been supplied with 600 portable power banks available to rent from 11 rental stations.

ChargedUp’s power banks, which are now available across 50 European cities, are powered by 100 per cent renewable energy via its partnership with Octopus Energy.

Shoppers can download the ChargedUp app on iOS and Android before scanning the QR code at charging stations to release a power bank.

“We’re delighted to partner with Up.co to bring ChargedUp to our visitors at Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City,” Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield’s director of operations Jakub Skwarlo said.

“The new service brings great convenience to shoppers so they can remain connected whilst spending time in our centres, allowing them to experience more from our retail, dining and entertainment outlets.”
