Japanese household and lifestyle retailer Muji has launched a new customer payment app across its eleven UK stores.
MishiPay’s Scan, Pay & Go app means customers will be able to pay for their items without having to wait in line or have contact with checkout terminals.
They can also use the app to check prices, view additional Item information and access promotional information about products.
“The in-store experience for customers has always been an important part of our brand, and MishiPay’s mobile self-checkout solution has allowed us to create a new level of convenience,” said Muji UK managing director David Brice.
“Not only are customers enjoying being able to check out without queuing or touching hardware, but our staff are also more free to help, advise and add real value to the shopping experience rather than processing payments,” Brice added.
“After our recent successful launches with retailers across Europe it is exciting to see MishiPay now being used in Muji’s stores in prime retail locations around the UK,” MishiPay founder and chief executive Mustafa Khanwala said.
