InPost rolls out digital receipts to make them as “contact free as possible”

InPost is rolling out digital receipts to all its customers across the UK allowing anyone receiving or returning orders to get receipts sent directly to their smartphones.

The locker delivery company, which works with retailers including Missguided, Boohoo and JD Sports, says this addition makes using its lockers “even faster, and even greener to use”.

Customers can now scan the QR code presented on screen when they drop of their item and enter their details to receive receipts directly to their inboxes.

This allows them to track their orders and returns at each stage of their journey from end-to-end.

“We’re always looking for ways to make lives easier for our customers. We also know tracking is important, especially when making returns,” InPost’s chief executive Jason Tavaria said.

“The new digital receipts mean our lockers are now even faster, and even greener to use. With the ability to enter in contact details through your smartphone, they are also as contact-free as possible.

“With delivery networks already stretched this peak season, out-of-store click and collect options are able to add some much-needed capacity into the system. And with lockers open 24/7 customers can skip the queues and make collections and returns, or send parcels, any time that suits them.”

InPost boasts more than 1 million self-service locker boxes across the globe, offering 24/7 contact free delivery from a host of locations, including train stations, petrol stations and retailers like Lidl.
