Amazon has launched a new two-day boot camp aimed at helping Black-owned businesses expand their online operations.
The course, which is running from February 16 and 17 and is open to all, will feature sessions on how Black-owned businesses can get started online, sell and send products via Amazon, scale operations and master social media.
It will also feature a panel discussion on how Black-owned businesses can access funding, training from Amazon experts and expert advice.
It forms part of Amazon’s Small Business Accelerator programme, and is supported by Hatch Enterprise, which helps women and founders from Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority backgrounds develop the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in business.
Last month, Amazon launched a similar two-day bootcamp aimed specifically at UK sellers hoping to sell internationally after Brexit.
“Through this bootcamp small businesses will be equipped with the tools, knowledge and support they need to address the challenges of today, by establishing a successful online operation and reaching customers around the world.” Amazon’s head of seller services Simon Donegan said.
