Go Instore has launched two additional services to its virtual shopping platform including a live selling and appointments service.

The virtual shopping start-up, which connects online shoppers with participating retailers via a video call, has rolled out its new Broadcast Live and Appointments tools today.

Broadcast Live is a new live streaming service allowing its partners, which include Currys PC World, Mamas and Papas, and Brompton, to stage virtual product launches.

Customers will be able to engage directly with instore experts via an interactive Q&A feature, while “streams can be hosted via the mobile app on a shopfloor or using the desktop version with external cameras for professional studio sets.”

“The Broadcast_LIVE tool allows brands to reach an unlimited number of their customers in real-time, in an incredibly engaging way,” Go Instore’s co-founder and chief executive Andre Hordagoda said.

Its new Appointments feature will allow customers to book a one-on-one personalised video call with in-store experts so retailers can deliver a high-quality sales experience virtually.

“Personal shopping experiences are a really important sales channel for retailers,” Hordagoda added.

“They empower consumers to make complex purchasing decisions that often involve higher value items and can create positive sentiment for brands from consumers.

“Appointments is a retail-first solution designed specifically to recreate these personal shopping experiences; 70 per cent of calls made through Appointments end in a sale.”
