Schuh and New Look offer ‘Instant Returns’ via InPost lockers

Schuh and New Look have partnered with out-of-home ecommerce delivery company InPost to offer instant, paperless, contactless returns.

InPost’s recently launched ‘Instant Returns’ service is now available for New Look and Schuh customers, allowing them to return items by simply scanning a QR code and placing their items in an InPost locker.

According to InPost, which boasts over 1 million self-service locker boxes across the globe and partners with retail giants including JD Sports, Holland & Barrett, Missguided and Lidl, 51 per cent of 18–34-year-olds are more concerned about the environmental impact of delivery and returns than in the past.

“InPost, we’re on a mission to make the returns process as easy as possible for both retailers and their customers thus bringing the high street convenience online,” InPost UK chief executive Jason Tavaria said.

“As we continuously build out our UK network at pace, we are excited to bring InPost Instant Returns closer to consumers.”

Schuh’s chief marketing officer Alice Cleary said: “As a business we are constantly looking for ways to operate more sustainably and minimise wastage, so the fact ‘Instant Returns’ is paperless with no need for a printer means it’s the perfect fit for Schuh.”

New Look’s chief executive Nigel Oddy added: “With no need to use a printer, customers simply scan a QR code on their phone and drop off their returns at their nearest InPost locker. It’s an innovative new service that not only gives customers a locally convenient option, but also offers a more sustainable way to process returns.”
