Shpock shoppers can now have their items delivered via Royal Mail amid new tie-up

Shpock has officially appointed Royal Mail as its UK delivery partner to offer a range of delivery services including ‘Click&Drop’.

The online peer-to-peer marketplace will now allow customers to choose to send or receive items via Royal Mail’s ‘special delivery guaranteed’, ‘signed for’ and both first and second-class postage services.

Shpock users will also have access to the delivery giant’s 12,700 drop off points across the UK, which include parcel postboxes, customer service points and post offices.

Shoppers can use Royal Mail’s parcel collect service to have their parcels collected, and until May 30 have access to doorstep collection for free.

“We want to ensure shoppers feel confident that their items will be delivered safe and sound and we believe Royal Mail’s reputation and longstanding history will give users, both new and existing, that peace of mind,” Shpock’s chief executive Esteve Jané said.

Royal Mail’s chief commercial officer Nick Landon added: “Shpock is helping people across the UK give second-hand items a new lease of life. We love to support the circular economy which has become even more important during the last year with so many stores closed for extended periods.

“This new partnership is a great opportunity for Royal Mail to help connect buyers and sellers in a really sustainable way through our trusted services – conveniently, securely and on time. As most items will be delivered on foot by our posties, there’s no greener way to do it either.”
