Homebase announces Checkout.com partnership

Homebase has partnered with Checkout.com to offer a wider range of payment options on its new website.

Thanks to the leading payment provider Homebase will now be able to accept a wide range of payment methods, which includes Apple Pay, PayPal and Google Pay.

The home improvements company, which is now live on the Checkout.com platform, selected the provider as part of its ongoing strategy to create a “seamless shopping experience” for customers.

Homebase offers over 35,000 products for the home and garden, offering a range of delivery options and one-hour click and collect across its 150 stores throughout the UK and Ireland.

“Our new website offers customers more ideas and inspiration to help them turn their ideas into reality, and partnering with Checkout.com makes shopping even easier for our customers with a wide range of payment options,” Homebase commercial and marketing director Dave Elliott said.

The move comes as a recent survey reveals UK shoppers are turning to eCommerce sites to find the products they need.

Resulting in online sales of paint growing 47 per cent year-on-year in 2020, while plants, seeds and bulbs saw an increase of 48 per cent.
