Net-a-Porter to launch its own resale platform

Net-a-Porter has announced the launch of its own resale platform, which will go live at the end of October.

Customers will be able to sell their designer items using the resale website, receiving 10 per cent credit or direct bank transfer whenever their item is bought.

Resale platform Reflaunt collect the products, make sure that they’re authentic before recommending a resale price.

Reflaunt will also manage the photography of the item before being uploaded onto international marketplaces.

The two brands are also collaborating on a buyback option for designer handbags where customers will be able to receive credit to spend on the platform immediately, instead of having to wait until the item has been purchased.

The service will launch first in in the UK exclusively before being extended to the US, Germany and Hong Kong.

“This collaboration represents an exciting step in our long-term mission to drive the change at Yoox Net-a-Porter to a more circular fashion ecosystem.”
