Gopuff expands into Europe with France debut

US rapid grocery delivery company Gopuff has followed up its UK launch with a European expansion into France.

Gopuff customers in Paris and the majority of Île-de-France, as well as parts of Marseille, Lille and Toulouse, with plans to expand across the country, will all be able to place orders through the start-up’s app.

“We have always focused on making Gopuff great for every neighbourhood and community we serve, be that our local customers, our local partners, or the incredible people that work for us,” Gopuff co-founder and chief executive Yakir Gola said.

Customers will be able to select from a range of items that Gopuff selects and sources itself. Giving the platform a localised product range in every community it operates in.

With approximately 4,000 items in each of its 20+ local sites in France, it offers the likes of eggs, dairy and drinks, as well as fresh produce.

The quick-commerce brand is also working with local suppliers, wholesalers and sole traders which include Fédération Française de l’Apéritif, Boulangerie La Parisienne, Bratigny and several local bakeries.

Bratigny general manager Boris Richeux added: “Working with Gopuff has allowed us to see the market differently, always with the same objective: to serve our customers with quality fruit and vegetables, and as fresh a product as possible.”
