Asos angers shoppers by introducing minimum spend for Premier Delivery

Asos has told its Premier customers that they will now need to spend a minimum of £10 in order to qualify for free next day delivery.

The news comes after months of speculation surrounding the terms and conditions of the Premier service, in which customers pay £9.95 in order to get unlimited next day delivery for an entire year.

Questions initially arose when the fashion giant opened up a new warehouse in Lichfield – which meant it was impossible for some customers to get their products the next working day.

The problem has since been resolved and customers are now able to order next day delivery on items from Lichfield.

The new £10 minimum spend will come into effect on May 31 and was announced to customers via email.

The email reads: “We just want to say thanks for being a Premier customer. As one of our faves, we want to give you a heads up about an upcoming change to your membership.”

“Starting on 31 May 2022, Premier Delivery will be changing a bit. From then on, you’ll need to spend a minimum of £10 to get free Next Day Delivery. But don’t worry, if you spend below £10, you’ll still get our free standard delivery.”
