Zoomo, the world leader for electric last-mile delivery vehicles, has launched in Edinburgh in partnership with Deliveroo.
The expansion into Edinburgh supports both brands’ efforts to ramp up sustainability in the delivery sector and encourage a shift to greener transport alternatives.
The partnership will see Zoomo electric bikes subsidised for Deliveroo riders in Edinburgh by up to 80% for the first three months from sign up, offering riders accessible and sustainable transport around the city.
According to the rapid delivery company, the collaboration with Zoomo reflects Deliveroo’s commitment to offer riders more affordable, clean and efficient mobility options.
Zoomo light electric vehicle solutions (LEVs) are purpose built for the delivery worker, combining commercial grade components for optimum safety, on demand service, flexible financing and tech enabled security features.
In addition, a Zoomo e-bike saves an average of 5 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.
“I’m really excited to be in Edinburgh today to announce the partnership between Deliveroo and Zoomo,” Deliveroo UKI operations director Andy Batty said.
“Launching the Zoomo collaboration will enable Deliveroo riders to navigate Edinburgh’s hilly terrain using market leading e-bikes, making it even easier to deliver great food all over Edinburgh.
“We hope that the introduction of world leading technology, along with compelling introductory offers, will appeal to both new and existing riders, supporting our significant growth in the city.”
