acquires Trouva to expand reach and choice has announced the acquisition of Trouva in order to expand choice and reach.

The online homeware retailer has not yet confirmed the terms of the deal.

Trouva, which was launched in 2015, is based in London and helps independent boutiques and brands gain gain exposure, offering customers a curated range of homewares, lifestyle and fashion products.

It has relationships with over 700 boutiques across Europe and has delivered to 34 countries worldwide this year.

Despite the takeover deal, Trouva wil continue to operate as a standalone brand led by the current leadership team of Alex Loizou, the company’s CEO and chief operating officer Dimple Patel.

As part of the deal, Made will integrate and deploy Trouva’s bespoke marketplace technology in its core business while it expands its range of furniture and homeware products and increases its presence in international markets.

The retailer hopes that this will help in reducing the need to invest in its own tech. Claire Valoti
