Tesco is urging Clubcard members to spend millions of unspent vouchers that are set to expire at the end of the month.
According to the UK’s largest grocer, £17 million worth of Clubcard vouchers are being missed out on.
Tesco has launched a drive to get customers to spend the points they’ve earned as part of a campaign to help customers ‘spend less and get more for their money’.
Paper Clubcard statements and vouchers were recently restricted to those who specifically opt-in to receiving them.
This leaves the majority of Clubcard members needing to use the mobile app or website to check their balances, with the grocer sending out a warning for those to make sure they don’t miss out.
Clubcard vouchers expire two years after they have been collected, so any voucher that was earned in May 2020 are in danger of expiring.
In order to check their balance, consumers can log into their My Clubcard account to find out if they have any vouchers due to expire.
Tesco also announced it would contact affected customers via email.
