Former Disney CEO Bob Iger joins GoPuff as investor and advisor

GoPuff has appointed former Disney chief executive Bob Iger as an advisor and investor.

Iger will advise GoPuff’s co-founders and co-chief executives Yakir Gola and Rafel Ilishayev.

He will also work with the rapid delivery firm’s broader executive team to help deepen its consumer engagement and growth globally.

Iger is widely regarded as one of the most successful and innovative chief executives in history and he joins GoPuff as the company is looking to expand its global footprint and launch new verticals.

The ultrafast grocer holds over 70% share of the US instant commerce category, according to YipitData.

“Bob Iger is one of the most important and visionary business leaders of this generation. He defined consumer engagement, product innovation, and organisational excellence,” Yakir Gola said.

Terms of the investment were not disclosed.
