Mountain Warehouse has launched a marketplace via its website, which will act as a “one-stop-shop” for all outdoor clothing and equipment across a range of brands.
The Mountain Warehouse Marketplace, which is shoppable via the brand’s main website, sells third-party brands including Slazenger, Donna Cycling and Nike.
The outdoor clothing and lifestyle retailer is actively seeking new third-party brands to onboard.
The online platform will also include a kidswear section, specialist outdoors categories such as cycling, and a wider range of outdoor living and garden products, including an expanded pets offering.
Merchants will be able to access the brand’s 1.7 million active online customers and 600,000 weekly visitors.
At checkout, customers will be able to see a breakdown in their basket between branded products, as well as delivery options.
Mountain Warehouse is responsible for first-line customer care, while each seller is tasked with shipping and delivery.
The news follows the expansion of Mountain Warehouse’s own brand portfolio, including the acquisition of coastal lifestyle brand Animal in 2021 and the launch of athleisure brand Active People last month.
“Our mission at Mountain Warehouse is to help everyone to enjoy the great outdoors,” Mountain Warehouse chief digital officer Ed Whatmore said.
