Made.com appoints former Sainsbury’s director as chief customer officer

Made.com has appointed former Sainsbury’s Argos brand and digital marketing director Dan Elton in the newly created role of chief customer officer.

In his new role, Elton will lead the furniture and homeware retailer’s marketing, digital and customer experience teams, as well as driving growth in mainland Europe.

Elton has also held a number of senior leadership positions including at Google as industry head of fashion and sport and as customer insight and analytics director at Tesco.

“I’m looking forward to the opportunities ahead to leverage our existing strengths and the great work already done by the team, to build a leading customer experience, delight our customers, and take our exceptionally-designed and innovative products to new audiences across the UK and Europe.”
