Missguided changes name after Frasers Group acquisition

Missguided has changed its name after it was rescued by Frasers Group in a £20m deal at the start of last month.

The online fast fashion company will officially be known as MGL Realisations (2022) Limited, according to documents filed with Companies House.

However, the business will continue to trade as Missguided.

The name change comes after founder Nitin Passi returned to Missguided as its chief executive, following its acquisition by Frasers Group.

Mr Passi had previously left his position in April as the company announced it was to cut 63 jobs.

At the same time, Missguided announced it had appointed Teneo “to explore strategic options for the business.”

That move saw the company enter administration before it was bought by Frasers Group, beating off rival Boohoo.

Passi said at the time: “Frasers Group has an unrivalled platform and fantastic operational know-how, giving Missguided a solid foundation on which we can build a successful future.”

“I am acutely aware of the impact Missguided’s administration has had on our stakeholders and I am committed to rebuilding their trust.”
