Kingfisher partners with Fluent Commerce to improve online operation

Kingfisher has announced a partnership with Fluent Commerce to help improve its online operation.

Fluent Commerce’s Order Management System will help support the group’s online business and enhance customer experience, with rollout starting with B&Q.

“At Kingfisher, we’re focused on improving the online experience for our customers and are continuously looking for innovative ways to make sure shopping with us is quick and easy,” Kingfisher group digital product and platform director Sienne Veit said.

“By deploying Fluent Order Management, we will be able to have a consistent view of our inventory meaning we can be much more agile in response to our customers’ needs.”

The solution will give the DIY retailer a centralised view of inventory across all locations and greater flexibility in response to changing circumstances or customer demands.

This will help B&Q quickly make incremental functional changes without any service disruption and provide consistent product availability to employees and customers for improved order fulfilment, fewer cancelled orders and fewer customer support calls.

It is easily deploy the system into its live environment with no downtime or impact to customers.

Fluent Commerce SVP of global sales Rob Shaw added: “B&Q and Kingfisher are major brands in the home improvement sector so naturally we are very excited to help them accelerate their order fulfilment strategy.

“We believe that our solution will provide them with the real time inventory visibility and flexibility that they’re looking for.”
