AO has appointed Peter Pritchard as an independent non-executive director of the company.
Peter will also become a member of both the Audit Committee and Remuneration Committee, with effect from October 1.
He joins AO from Pets at Home, where he served as chief executive officer, leading its transformation into the UK’s largest and fastest growing pet care provider.

Peter has over 35 years’ consumer and broad operational experience, having worked for many of the UK’s best-known retail brands, including Wilkinson Stores, Asda, Sainsbury’s and M&S. He also holds a non-executive position at Motability Operations Group.

“We set out to appoint an individual with suitable experience to continue to develop the Board’s skill set and Peter brings with him a strong mix of knowledge of consumer-focused businesses, as well as experience of transforming businesses.”
