Peloton chief financial officer (CFO) Jill Woodworth has left the company, marking the latest high-profile departure from the fitness tech brand.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) executive Liz Coddington will take over from Woodworth as the company aims to turn around its fortunes under the helm of Barry McCarthy.
Since his appointment in February, McCarthy has tried to steer the company on a new path which focusses on a new subscription model for Peloton users, making the brand more accessible.
“Liz is a deeply talented finance executive and will be an invaluable addition to Peloton’s leadership team,” McCarthy said in a release.
Woodworth had been at Peloton since 2018 and will continue to serve the company as a consultant on an interim basis, despite her stepping down as CFO.
In May, Peloton signed a binding commitment letter with JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs to borrow $750 million in five-year term debt in an effort to help return to profit.
